General Terms and Conditions

Imago Vitae Photography "Imago Vitae": is a freelance photography service located in East Lancashire, United Kingdom. We are committed to providing high-quality and personalised services to our local communities at fair prices. Our emphasis is on capturing life as it is lived, with a natural and personal touch.

Our services include portrait, headshot, family, group, and pet photography. We take pride in our candid and relaxed approach, focusing on capturing genuine moments rather than staged and posed images. If there is interest in commissioning services beyond our standard range of offered photoshoots (e.g., weddings, anniversaries, engagements, baby showers), we are open to discussing specific projects on an individual basis.

To book a session, clients can contact us to discuss their needs and preferences. Once confirmed, payment is made on the day of the session, and we provide real-time direction and discussion to capture a variety of angles and styles of photographs. After the session, we review the images and create a selection of the best ones. These selected images are edited using Adobe Creative Suite software to ensure a sharp and dynamic result. Clients are then shown samples to choose their desired images, with the option to purchase additional ones. The final images are provided to the client in high resolution and without watermarks.

When a booking quote is confirmed, it is agreed that consent is provided that the images taken during the session may also be used as both marketing and promotional material, for the sole purpose of developing and promoting the brand. These images may appear across our website, social media platforms and printed advertising. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us.

Please Note: All the images from a session, edited and original, will be stored electronically and securely by us for 10 days after the date of completion and will then be irretrievably deleted.

Ethical Statement: As a new service, Imago Vitae Photography is committed to providing high-quality and authentic photography experiences. While we are in the process of building our portfolio and brand experience, we may occasionally utilise licence-free open source stock images to enhance our representation of certain aspects of our services. Our intention in using these images is to demonstrate our ambition and vision for specific areas of our service. However, we are dedicated to transparency and ensuring that clients have a clear understanding of the images used in our portfolio.

We strive to prioritise the use of original, client-specific images whenever possible, capturing genuine moments and showcasing our own work. As we continue to grow, our portfolio will increasingly consist of our own photography, reflecting the true essence of our service. We value honesty, integrity, and ethical practices in our business operations. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding our use of stock images, we are more than happy to provide further clarification and discuss our commitment to delivering exceptional photography services.
